Žan and Žiga joined the training camp with Rajd team on the courses in Buzet/Croatia and Ajdovščina, for the first time in new UTT jersey. They look great, but in super muddy conditions they got dirty just after couple of meters.
After heavy rain the weekend was sunny, but the courses, especially the one in Buzet, were still full of mud. Mud could not stop both riders to fly down the track on their Sessions and lead the young riders during their rides.
All together we had two full days of shuttle riding with no injuries and minimum damage to the bikes. This was the first time that our team tried one of the courses near Ajdovščina and we have to thank local scene leader Klavdij for the guidance. We will be back!
Yesterday we had our annual adidas eyewear meeting in Radovljica. We've checked new goggles and sunglases - really cool stuff for 2010. We can't wait to get it in a couple of weeks. adidas eyewear is official Unior Tools Team eyewear, all the guys will wear them.
So what's new? We are glad to tell you that in 2010 our team's name is Unior Tools Team. We've started cooperating with Unior d.d., a Slovenian hand tools producer, which has a long tradition, over 90 years. They also have a great bike tools program, which will be our main goal to promote.
Besides hand tools producing, they also produce forging parts, machine tools and own a big winter turist centre, Rogla. This worldwide company is a synonym for reliable, high-quality, and functionally designed products around the world.
We've also registered the team with UCI, so we will be present on most of the world cups with our brand new expo area presenting Unior's bike tools program.
And the team? Young Žiga Pandur has now officialy joined the team, no other changes. Boys and girls are training harder than ever and can't wait to start racing in a couple of months. Check the schedule page to see where you can find us and regularly check our website for updates!
If you'll have trobule finding us in the big expo areas around the world cup circuits, let us give you a small hint:
